The Rome Chap­ter of NARFE (Na­tional As­so­ci­a­tion of Ac­tive and Re­tired Fed­eral Civil Ser­vice Em­ploy­ees) will have their monthly meet­ing at the Land­mark Restau­rant on Martha Berry High­way in Rome, GA on Thurs­day, Novem­ber 9, from 11: 15 a. m. - 1 p. m. The lo­cal chap­ter is con­cen­trat­ing on their mem­ber re­cruit­ing and re­ten­tion ef­forts. The guest speaker at this month meet­ing will be Ge­or­gia State Se­na­tor Chuck Huf­stetler. The monthly luncheon meet­ing are open to all cur­rent Fed­eral civil ser­vice em­ploy­ees in the north­west Ge­or­gia re­gion who want to learn what NARFE stands for and the or­ga­ni­za­tion’s on- go­ing fight for the right and ben­e­fits of cur­rent and re­tired fed­eral civil ser­vice em­ploy­ees. All cur­rent and re­tired fed­eral civil ser­vice em­ploy­ees have the right, and are en­cour­aged to be­come mem­bers of NARFE., for through mem­ber­ship cur­rent and fu­ture mem­bers will be able to ob­tain many an­swers as they per­tain to their earned rights and priv­i­leges. Meet­ing at­ten­dees will al­ways re­ceive the lat­est news re­gard­ing fed­eral civil ser­vice mat­ters and re­tire­ment data, as well as changes to So­cial Se­cu­rity. Those qual­i­fy­ing for mem­ber­ship are cor­dially in­vited to at­tend our meet­ings, and trans­porta­tion for prospec­tive mem­bers ( liv­ing within the Rome area) to at­tend the meet­ing MAY BE made avail­able, so please con­tact Duke Bor­chardt at 706- 2321986.
