TOBI Says, Atlanta 13

This happens in other places too. Have you seen a yard sale sign, and followed it, only to find out it was last week?

Some race flyers have done that. They tell you where, but left off the date, or time. This happens in other things also.

Sometimes a race flyer tells you that the run is next to McDonalds, or at an elementary school, or a block past the college. Those are good directions for the local people, but if you are from another town, you do not know where those things are located. It makes the run hard to find.

A GPS helps, but sometimes they give wrong directions. We were looking for a restaurant. The GPS said to get off at the exit and go left. After riding around, we found the restaurant, we were supposed to go right. Either the restaurant had moved or the directions were wrong.

Sometimes extra details are helpful. When you are trying to find your motel, the exit number would help. The directions may be right by telling you the address, the exit number would make finding it a lot easier.

So remember the lesson. You need what, when, where, how and why. That means that after you have made your sign, check it for those details. Others will appreciate it.

For the Christian telling others, it is the same way. Give all the necessary information you need to get saved. But they need more information. Remember not everybody has been to church where they have heard those things.

You need to tell why. You want to go to heaven. You want your sins forgiven. The Bible says that all have sinned. Everybody needs to be reminded that God loves you. Jesus died on the cross for you, but you must receive Him. You need to do it now.

When someone asks you for directions, you need to be able to explain them. You may know the way, but giving directions can be harder to explain. This is also true for Christians. You may know that you are saved, but it is more difficult to tell someone else how to do it. The best questions is, have you thanked Jesus for dying on the cross for your sins?

Plan ahead. Then you will be ready when someone asks you for directions.
