SONORAVILLE YOUTH WRESTLING CLUB
— The Sonoraville High Wrestling Program will begin its Youth Wrestling Club on November at 6 p.m. in the Rock Gym at Sonoraville High. The club will run from Nov. 7-Feb. 1 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6 p.m. There will be approximately 25 sessions. It is open to K-5th graders (bring a partner your size if possible) and the cost is $100. Wear tennis shoes or wrestling shoes, shorts and t-shirt. The Sequoyah Tennis Association will host their Tri-Level Christmas Tournament Dec. 2-3 at the Calhoun Tennis Center. The tournament will be men’s and women’s tri-level 18 & over 2.5/3.0/3.5. League fee is just $5 and participants are also asked to bring a new unwrapped gift (valued between $15-$20) on the first day of the tournament. Toys and gifts will be donated to children and young people in the community. Teams are forming now. Winners advance to the USTA

— Calhoun High Baseball alumni and current Major League Baseball players Josh Smoker and Charlie Culberson will host the second annual Smoker Culberson Classic Golf Tournametn on Dec. 9 at Fields Ferry Golf Club in Calhoun. The cost is $100 for an individual and $320 for a foursome. Proceeds will go to benefit the Calhoun High Baseball Program.
