GORDON COUNTY PARKS AND REC ADULT BASKETBALL LEAGUE

— Gordon County Parks and Recreation will be having a Adult Basketball League. The first meeting will be on Dec. 13 at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in entering a team you must be at this meeting at the Sonoraville Recreation Complex located at 7494 Fairmount Hwy S.E. For any additional information or questions, please call 706-602-4435 and ask for Diane Jones or Craig Sparks. Entry fee will be TBA.

SMOKER CULBERSON CLASSIC

— Calhoun High Baseball alumni and current Major League Baseball players Josh Smoker and Charlie Culberson will host the second annual Smoker Culberson Classic Golf Tournament at Fields Ferry Golf Club in Calhoun soon. The original date for the tournament was Dec. 9, but it was postponed due to inclement weather. A new date will be announced soon. The cost is $100 for an individual and $320 for a foursome. Proceeds will go to benefit the Calhoun High Baseball Program. Tee time will be at 10 a.m. To sign up or to find out more information, visit www.smokerculbersonclassic.com.
