Dew Dog Challenge Event will be “Cosmic” for Northwest Georgia Scouts
Calling all Cubs, Webelos, Boy Scouts, Venturers, Explorers, and their siblings ages 3 and up! Come out to Camp Sidney Dew April 13 - 15 for the biggest and best Scouting event in Northwest Georgia. The Dew Dog Challenge is the one event to bring together the entire Scouting family. That’s right; everyone, from Tiger Cubs to Venturers/ Explorers, is invited to participate. Our theme for this year’s Challenge is “Space Dogs.”
Similar to a large Camporee, t he Challenge consists of a series of “missions” to test the skills of Cub Scouts, Webelos, Boy Scouts, and Venturers/ Explorers alike. The spirit of the Dew Dog Challenge is one of friendly competition. The Challenge is a fun way for our Scouts to show off their Scouting skills and compete for the coveted “Top Dog Patrol” trophy. There are different competitive events for each level. For Cub Scout Packs that bring along siblings, those ages 6 and above can participate in the Cub Scout events. We also have a special program just for Cub Scout siblings ages 3 to 6. In addition to the fun, challenge activities, there will be Community Showcases, Food Vendors, a special Campfire program, and of course, barking, yes, barking- is encouraged!
Registration is open now at NWGABSA. ORG, and will continue through April 1. The cost to participate is $ 20 per youth and $10 per adult, which includes an event patch for each youth. Event t- shirts and adult patches available for purchase; shirts must be ordered by March 10th. Take advantage now through March 10 of the Early Bird registration fee of $15 per youth and $5 per adult – a savings of $ 5 per person!
