Ashworth girls finish up 8-0 season

-The Ashworth track and field team opened the season on March 16 by competing against 10 other teams at the Southeast Whitfield Middle School Invitational. The girls team finished as runner-up, snagging second place, while the boys earned ninth place. defeated narrowly by the Lady Tigers.

-The wins just keep piling up for Red Bud’s baseball squad. The Phoenix picked up at 15-0 win over the Woodland Wildcats last Friday and a 7-0 win over the Cass Colonels on Wednesday. Red Bud currently sits in second place in the BGMSAA region standings.

-However, it is the Calhoun Yellow Jackets that remain at the top of the BGMSAA standings with a perfect 8-0 record. Calhoun also got the better of the Phoenix in the crosstown showdown last Wednesday by a score of 16-6.
