TOBI Says, We are Number One!

-

to be number one. Most any game you watch, you can see the big foam fingers. The signal is to be number one. In baseball, it is to win the World Series. In football, it is to be the Super Bowl Champions. The NBA champions are the basketball winners.

Other victorious winners happen in college. There are conference winners, division winners and winners in bowl games. Others winners winners.

At a run, there are also many winners. There is an overall winner, both male and female. There are masters winners, which are for runners over 40. Then there are age group winners. But there are more winners in running besides those. A runner coming off an injury can be a winner for competing again. An are and region state overweight runner trying to lose weight is a winner just for finishing. At a recent run, there was a lady that was a double amputee. She had two artificial legs, and did the full 5K. She showed what a real winner was. At a marathon, every finisher gets a medal. They are all winners.

In sports, each person has the opportunity to be victorious. It may be a team or just an individual goal that is reached. Each victory brings lots of joy.

Victory in life is even more important. Becoming a Christian is the most important victory anyone can have. There are also many other victories possible in the life of a Christian. In church, reaching a Sunday school goal is a victory. A church sets goals for VBS, numbers of visitors and other areas.

The individual also reaches personal goals. It may be for learning books of the Bible, memorizing Bible verses or doing mission projects. All can be considered victories.

The common factor in all these victories is participation. It means action. God has a job for you. You will receive the prize if you join the team and get in the game.
