show begins at 8 p.m., opening by Thunderbol­t Patterson, composed of the dynamic duo of David Bell and Tim Bowen. Not to be lost in the music is the fact the show is a benefit for the Tiny Homes Project of Gordon County. The Project seeks to raise $ 100,000 to spotlight the affordable housing problem in Gordon County. One in five in Gordon County live in poverty, and Gordon County ranks 93rd in the state povertywis­e. Tickets for the show are available at the GEM Theatre downtown or online at calhoungem. org. Calhoun’s Got Talent - August 4 at 7 p.m. at the Harris Arts Center. Fifteen contestant­s compete for top prizes of $ 1,000. Tickets are $20 per show, or $35 for a two- show package. Week of Aug. 12

Glen Templeton at The GEM Theatre on Saturday, Aug. 18, 2018 at 7: 30 p. m. Glen has developed a large fan following since he was handpicked in 2008 by Conway Twitty’s daughters to portray Twitty in a touring musical tribute to their father. “With more than 20,000 hopefuls auditionin­g for the part, they found a powerful voice capable of conveying many of the same qualities Conway had.” Early in his career, Glen developed a reputation as one of the best s i n g e r- s o n g w r i t e r s playing shotgun bars and honky tonks in Nashville. That talent has propelled him to bigger stages such as The Grand Ole Opry and The Ryman. Now you can hear him in at the GEM in Georgia. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, April 10 at 4 pm.
