New Echota State Historic Site, 1211 Chatsworth Hwy 225 N., Calhoun, is hosting Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, June 29, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The park staff will present activities that will help guests complete the new Junior Ranger booklet and earn the New Echota Junior Ranger Badge. Admission to the park is $5.50 for children, $6.50 for adults older than 62, $7 for all other adults, and free for children 5 and younger.

An AARP Smart Driver Course will be held on July 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Gordon County Senior Center, 150 Cambridge Court in Calhoun. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. Payment can be made by cash or check. Call or text certified instructor Sheila Powell at 706-263-5054 to register.

AdventHeal­th Gordon is hosting a maternity fair on Sunday, July 21, for those who are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or parents of an infant. The event will be held in Conference Room E (enter through the North Entrance) from 2 to 4 p.m. and will include vendor and exhibit booths, a panel of maternity experts, giveaways and door prizes, tours of the new Baby Place and light refreshmen­ts.
