Tallatoona is accepting appointments for the LIHEAP Heating Assistance Program for senior households 65 years of age and older. The general public may now schedule appointments. Appointments are provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. To receive assistance applicants must qualify based on the FY 2021 annual income guidelines. The Gordon County Board of Commissioners will hold their next regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 6 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 201 N. Wall St.

The Calhoun City Council will hold their next regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m. downtown at the depot, 109 S. King St.

The Gordon County Board of Education will hold their next regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Feb. 8, at the Gordon County College and Career Academy, 305 Beamer Road. Work session begins at 6:15 with the meeting following directly after.

The Board of Trustees of the Calhoun-Gordon County Public Library will hold its quarterly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 4:30 p.m. via Google Meet. To join this meeting, call 1-484519-1276 and use pin 850 482 531.

When joining this meeting, guests will be automatically muted but will be able to converse through text chat. The meeting is open to the public.

The Calhoun City School Board of Education will hold their next regularly scheduled meeting Monday, Feb. 22 at 6 p.m. at the central office building downtown, 334 S. Wall St.

Tallatoona Community Action Partnership Inc. is hosting “Pathway to Empowerment,” a program that provides services and supports individuals and their families who are committed to changing their lives.
