STANSELL, Doyle Ray

Mr. Doyle Ray Stansell, 71, of Calhoun, passed away peacefully at his residence on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Doyle was born in Calhoun, Georgia on September 21, 1950, one of eleven children born to the late Roy and Evelyn Fuller Stansell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Elizabeth Hill, Betty Patterson, Vera Stansell, Martha Hughes and James Stansell.

Prior to retirement, Doyle was employed by Bartow Security as a security guard, he loved spending time with his family, camping, traveling, and working on old cars in his spare time. Doyle loved kids and pets. He was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Gwen Pate Stansell; son, Keith Stansell; daughter, Lindsey Stansell; grandson, Chandler Stansell; granddaughter, Emily Stansell; siblings, Johnny (Denise) Stansell, Diane Young, Judy Hill, Nancy Stansell all of Calhoun and Frances (Donald) Timms of Resaca. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

A service to celebrate the life of Doyle Ray Stansell will be conducted Saturday, April 23rd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Max Brannon & Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family lot at Fidelle Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will include, Eric Young, Tony Hughes, Randy

Hawkins, Josh Davison, Aaron Scheetz and Doug Patterson. Honorary pallbearers serving include Buddy Hill and David Hill.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 22nd between the hours of 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
