The Gem Theatre, 114 N. Wall St., is hosting The Mad Hatters: A Tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Saturday, May 21, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35.
The 38th annual Battle of Resaca reenactment will be held Saturday, May 21, and Sunday, May 22, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. each day, and gates opening at 9 a.m., on Chitwood Road in Resaca off Highway 41. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Parking is free with complimentary shuttle service.
Sonoraville High School will hold its 2022 commencement Wednesday, May 25, at 7 p.m., at The Furnace, 7340 Fairmount Highway.
Gordon Central High School will hold its 2022 commencement Thursday, May 26, at 8 p.m. at Ratner Memorial Stadium, 355 Warrior Path.
Living Water Ministries, 5730 Fairmount Highway, will host a special service Thursday, May 26, at 7 p.m., with Evangelist Evelyn Adams, and a gospel singing.
Calhoun High School will hold its 2022 commencement Friday, May 27, at 8 p.m., at Hal Lamb Field in Phil Reeve Stadium, 100 Yellow Jacket St.
Calhoun VFW Post 5376, 406 W. Line St., will host its annual Memorial Day weekend Car and Bike Show, Saturday, May 28. Breakfast will be at 8 a.m., bike ride registration at 8:30 with kick stands up at 10, with start and finish at the post. Harmony Church, 160 Harmony Church Road, will host Reverend Leon Smith and his wife, Connie, for a gospel music concert alongside other local talent and some congressional hymns on Sunday, May 29, beginning at 10:30 a.m.
West Union Baptist Church, 1560 Everett Springs Road, is hosting a A community-wide Red Book Singing, Sunday, May 29, at 6 p.m., with a full rhythm section. Covered dish meal to follow.
Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 997 Brownlee Mountian Road, Adairsville, host Bible school Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. nightly. The theme will be “Heroes of the Faith” for pre-K through 8th grade with nightly suppers. Friday will be family night with waterside and games. Transportation available.
