Alzheimer’s/dementia

LINCOLN— A monthly support group for family caregiver’s of those with Alzheimer’s and dementia will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 20 from 6–7:30 p.m. at Atria Lincoln Place, 612 George Washington Highway, Lincoln.

Atria Lincoln Place offers this support group for caregivers who are looking for informatio­n and/or support in caring for their loved ones with Alzheimer’s or some other form of dementia.

Doreen C. Putnam, a Certified Dementia Practition­er, is the facilitato­r of this support group. Her specialty for the past 18 years has been working with family and profession­al caregivers of those with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

SMITHFIELD— A monthly support group for family caregiver’s will be held on the third Tuesday of every month from 6–7:30 p.m., with the first meeting being held toniught at Heritage Hills Nursing and Rehabilita­tion Center, 80 Douglas Turnpike, Smithfield. Heritage Hills offers this support group for caregivers who are looking for informatio­n or support in assisting their loved ones.

American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Pawtucket kickoff Monday, Jan. 25

PAWTUCKET — The American Cancer Society’s annual Relay For Life of Pawtucket will officially kick off the fundraisin­g season on Monday, Jan. 25 from 6-8 p.m. at Pawtucket Checker Club Restaurant and Bar (579 Benefit St., Pawtucket).
