Wheelchair tennis clinic starts in January

DARTMOUTH, Mass. – Wheelchair tennis is one of the fastest growing wheelchair sports and played all over the world. Wheelchair tennis clinics are geared toward people with mobility disabiliti­es such as spinal cord injuries, amputees, spinal cord diseases, etc. Attend all clinics or just one! All player levels are welcome!

Clinics at the Dartmouth Indoor Tennis facility (757 State Road, Dartmouth, Mass. 02747) will be held on the following Friday nights from 7:30-9:30: 1/6, 1/20, 2/3, 2/24, 3/10, 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/5, & 5/19.

The clinics are free. All levels of players are welcome to attend. Rackets can be provided if need be as well as sports chairs. Instructio­n to be provided by Jim Buck, who has taught tennis for 35 years and wheelchair tennis for 20 years.

For more informatio­n, contact Thomas Dodd at (401) 523-9864. of age categories – Instructio­nal (six-and-under T-Ball and eight-and-under Coach-Pitch) or fast-pitch (10-andunder minor, 12-and-under major and 18-and-under senior divisions) – may do so between 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on any of those dates.

Sign-up fee for Instructio­nal players is $45 per person, and $70 for those in all other divisions

Folks may also sign up on-line at http://www.darlington­girlssoftb­all.com/. Anyone who registers prior to March 13 will receive a discount, as will those parents who sign up more than one of their children.

When signing up on-line, player fees must be paid in full at the time of registrati­on.

Players will be eligible for placement on a team once they’ve paid in full.
