Wheelchair tennis clinic are underway Signups open for Senior Softball League

DARTMOUTH, Mass. — Wheelchair tennis is one of the fastest growing wheelchair sports and played all over the world. Wheelchair tennis clinics are geared toward people with mobility disabiliti­es such as spinal cord injuries, amputees, spinal cord diseases, etc. Attend all clinics or just one! All player levels are welcome!

Clinics at the Dartmouth Indoor Tennis facility (757 State Road, Dartmouth, Mass. 02747) will be held on the following Friday nights from 7:30-9:30: 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/5, & 5/19.

The clinics are free. All levels of players are wel- come to attend. Rackets can be provided if need be as well as sports chairs. Instructio­n to be provided by Jim Buck, who has taught tennis for 35 years and wheelchair tennis for 20 years.

Registrati­on is now underway for Men 57 & older to join the Warwick (R.I.) Senior Softball League. It is a recreation­al league whose priorities are fun, safety, and friendly competitio­n. You do not have to be a Warwick resident to join. All games (double headers) begin at 9 a.m. and are played at Buttonwood­s City Park in Warwick on Wednesday mornings. The fee is $25.
