Burrillville Parks Department offers digital photo class
BURRILLVILLE – The Burrillville Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce its upcoming series of Digital Photography 101 Classes , designed to teach students, age 16 and up, younger if accompanied by a parent or guardian, how to capture the images they see.
Learn how your camera works, how it thinks and how to use that information to create photographs. Discussion will include suggested reading, accessories, software, composition and lighting. Assignments will be given for each class. Questions are encouraged. The class is intended for owners of DSLR cameras and advanced point and shoots cameras.
Classes are to begin May 1, and continue the following three Mondays from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm in Room 116 at the Burrillville Middle School. The cost is $50 per student for the four evening sessions.
Instructor David Wuerth is a freelance photojournalist/sports photographer/fine artist based in Smithfield. Capturing an image with his camera has been his passion for over 45 years. He began his journey with photography classes in New York City, then working for several studios in Manhattan where he learned commercial advertising photography. After relocating to Boise, Idaho, he continued to freelance shoot with advertising, wedding, and portrait images. Since returning to New England, he has concentrated on his photojournalism, sports and fine art photography. David has his work in galleries in Warren and Bristol and exhibits his work at area art festivals. His work can be viewed at his website: www.davidwuerth.com.
