1950Phil Berge knocked in six runs on two triples and a single as last year’s Class C Western Division champ Burrillville hopped on three Central Falls hurlers for 18 hits and clubbed out a 22-4 win in the newly-formed Northern Division at the C. F. Municipal Stadium. Bob Ducharme roped three singles, a double and tallied four runs, while Don Menard drilled two singles and scored five runs for the Broncos. Maurice “Moe” Messier collected two singles and two RBI and George Beattie had the other hit for the Bluejackets.

1960Bruce Molhan surrendered only a fourth inning single, walked two and struck out 16, while Eddie McNaught, batting 1.000 after two games with 4-for-4, clouted two triples for five RBI as Saint Raphael Academy drubbed Bristol 9-0 at McCoy Stadium. Molhan, an All-Valley selection last year, turned in a brilliant effort as he posted the top strikeout total registered in the state this season for either a seven or nine-inning game. Sophomore Phil Bizier drove in two runs with a bases-jammed single and junior Billy Burgess had a perfect day at the plate with two singles and two walks in four trips while scoring three runs for coach Joe Dragon’s Saints.

1970Jim King belted a two-run seventh inning homer and stroked RBI singles in the first, third and sixth innings to lead Mount St. Charles to a 14-1 trouncing of Lincoln in a nonleague encounter. John Kun and Fran Garrick limited the Lions to five hits. Lincoln collected its only run of the game in the bottom of the seventh on a walk to Moe Omar, a single Bob Annon and a double by Rich Elderkin who was the only Lion player with two hits.
