Woonsocket no match for Toll Gate in Division III contest

WOONSOCKET – Will Fox, Griffin Hart, Logan Heberg and Umair Ayaz all mustered straight-set singles victories as Toll Gate High claimed a 7-0 Division III/Central A triumph over Woonsocket at the Aylsworth Avenue courts on Thursday afternoon.

Still, Hart needed to battle before wrestling a 6-2, 7-5 decision over Andy Ratsapho at No. 2 singles, and the top doubles unit of Datyn Deasley and Dan Tariq hasd to do the same in a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Xavier Dennis and Kevin Nguyen. Cougars sweep Tigers

PAWTUCKET – The North Providence High singles quartet of Brendan O’Connell, Rich Africo, Nino Magat and Joe Corsidi dropped only four games between then during a 6-1 victory over Pawtucket Co- op at Slater Park’s Mike Kenny Courts on Thursday.
