Raiders earn win

PAWTUCKET — The Shea golf team picked up its first Western Division victory of the season Thursday at Pawtucket Country Club, edging Scituate 267-273 thanks to a 60 from Dominic Majkut. Tolman freshman Kyle Paine shot a 67, Jalen Evans a 69 and Ana Brasil a 70.

Shea (1-5 Western Division) did drop a decision to North Providence, 238-267. The Raiders are back on the tee Tuesday afternoon at Cranston’s Alpine Country Club against La Salle and Johnston.

North Providence’s Nick Petrarca was the medalist by 18 stroke with a 7-over 42. Mounties crush Novans

BELLINGHAM — Mount St. Charles freshman Ben Ellis carded a 4-over 40 and fellow freshman Alex Dumas added a 41 to help the Mounties secure a 167-230 victory over Woonsocket Thursday afternoon at New England Country Club.

Mount St. Charles (5-1 Northern Division) also received a 43 from senior Liam Boudreault and a 43 from sophomore Alex Neidzwiade­k. The Mounties, who are one game behind Smithfield for the Northern Division lead, face the Sentinels and Burrillvil­le at Crystal Lake Monday.

Woonsocket (0-9) was led by Dylan Klein, who shot a 48. The Villa Novans are at Countryvie­w Monday to face winless North Smithfield and Cumberland.
