St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens meeting of May 9

President Suzanne Grenier opened the meeting with a prayer for living and deceased members.

Door prize winners were Barbara DeChristof­aro, Jim Lemira, Richard Deguire, Claire Biron and Bob Desjardin. Raffle ticket winners were Pat Strode, Louis LeBlanc, Lorraine Robidoux, Marie Desilets and Ms. DeChristof­aro. Dollar-amonth winners were Raymond Aubin, Simone Ferland, Lorie Dutremble, Gary Plotkin, Rita Couture and Ray Beaudette.

Celebratin­g birthdays this month are Ann Verfaille, Gert Courtemanc­he, Jeanne Dubois, Sue M. Grenier, Blanche Roy, Sue J. Grenier, Terry Lapierre, Liz Cole, Terry Lambert, Helen Mumford and Monique Auger. Celebratin­g anniversar­ies this month are Paul and Pauline Belisle, 65 years; and Paul and Michelle McDonald, 53 years.

Diane Lamoureux, Robert Lamoureux and Pat Strode are new members to the club. Sunshine Lady Barbara DeChristof­aro sent get well cards to Connie Roy, Rita Couture and Connie Ethier; and a sympathy card to Monique Noel.

The club is holding a luncheon on Tuesday, May 23 at noon at the Good Shepherd School auditorium, 1200 Mendon Road. The meal will include macaroni and meatballs from Uncle Ronnie’s. Tickets are $10. The club will celebrate its 42nd anniversar­y on May 21 at the Village Haven Restaurant in Forestdale. Tickets are $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers.
