Tanner Caddy Classic July 10 at Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET — The Jim Tanner Caddy Classic will be held Monday July 10 at 1:00 shotgun at Pawtucket Country Club with four man teams playing a best ball with a gross and net team competition. There will also be net and gross skins games with a luncheon served at noon and a reception with food and prizes immediately following golf.

Entry fee for the JT Classic is $150 made payable to Pawtucket Country Club and should be sent to Pawtucket Country Club 900 Armistice Blvd Pawtucket, RI 02861 Attn: Mike Gelinas/JT Classic

Pawtucket Country Club members can sign up in the proshop with Mike Gelinas.

You can make your own foursome or can sign up by yourself or with other members or guests and the committee will make up a foursome for the event.

You are encouraged to sign up early so that you will be included in this exciting event.

Entry fee includes golf, cart, food and prizes. There will be a raffle ($20 for 5 tickets) and optional gross skins game ($20).

You are welcome to donate prizes for raffle and auction and personal donations made payable to Jim Tanner Caddy Classic. All Donations will be recognized in the Jim Tanner Caddy Classic program.

Dube Scholarship golf tournament July 24

SUTTON, Mass. — The third annual Richard F. Dube Memorial Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament will take place on July 24 at Blackstone Nation Golf Club located at 227 Putnam Hill Road in Sutton.

The cost for 18 holes and cart is $115 and is due by July 10. If you pay by June 25, you will be entered to win a Blackstone Card. Please include your name, your address, your phone number, your email and your choice of either steak or chicken.

Check in is 7:30 a.m. and the shotgun start begins at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for the top two finishers, the longest drive, closest to the pin and a hole-and-one contest. There will be a 50-50 raffle along with raffles for assorted golf items, liquor and gift cards. The cost to sponsor a tee box is $100 and the cost for lunch only is $25.

B.V. umpires needed for 2017/18 season

Backstone Valley Umpires looking for experienced umpires for the 2017/2018 seasons. If interested contact Tommy Brien at (401) 636-7826. You will receive training in Little League, AAU Baseball, girls softball, girls hardball, boys/girls middle school baseball/softball.
