Jim Carr Memorial Tournament set for Aug. 19

Plans have begun for this year’s Woonsocket Little League Jim Carr Memorial Jimmy Fund Golf Tournament. The Tournament is the main Charity Event sponsored by W. L. L. Established in 1993 by the Membership of the League in honor of Mr. Jim Carr, who was a long standing Manager and volunteer of the League who was a victim of Cancer. This will be our 24th year.

Through the past 23 years, we have raised a total of $262,000.00. Every dollar raised goes to the Jimmy Fund.

This year’s tournament will be played once again at Trigg’s Country Club in Providence R.I. on Auggust 19th. Tee off is scheduled for 8:00 A.M. with registration beginning at 6:30. Post event barbecue is slated to begin immediately after the tournament

Gerry Forget will be returning as Tournament Chairman. As always, we are in need of Sponsors and gifts that can be used as prizes or raffle items. Tee and Green sponsorships at $125.00 each are available. We are accepting Foursomes at this time to fill the roster if we have any openings. If interested your name will be placed on a waiting list, first come, first served. The cost for a Foursome is $520.00.
