St. Jospeh Seniors, June 27

Before the meeting, everyone enjoyed their dinner of chowder and clamcakes. President Suzanne Grenier opened the meeting with a prayer for the sick, Pete Petrin and Claire Benoit, and for deceased members Bernedette Paul and Therese Lefebvre.

Raffle ticket winners were Jeanne LeBlanc, Doris Denomme, Marie Desilets, Irene Frigon and Monique Noel.

Door prize winners were Richard Deguire, Muriel Dugas, Linda Blais, Lorriane Robidoux and Connie Lafontaine.

Our Sunshine Lady Barbara DeChristofaro sent sympathy cards to Leo Grenier, Simone Ferland and Rose Jalbert, in addition to a get well card to Pete Petrin.

Members welcomed Audrey Lepine, Clara Marquis and Rose Thuber to the group. New members are always welcome.

A thank-you card was received from Lynn and Gary Rousseau for Masses being said for their mother, Rita Rousseau, and a flower arrangement was sent. A thank you card was received from the family of Therese Lefebvre.

St. Joseph Parish sent a thank you letter for a donation of $500 that the club made for the use of their hall.

Upcoming events:

Baked scrod dinner on Thursday, July 25 at noon in the Good Shepherd School auditorium on Mendon Road. Tickets are $18 per person.

Aday trip on July 20 to Maine for lunch and a cruise. After a lunch of lobsters, steamers, mussels and more, the group will travel to Portsmouth for a three-hour tour of the Isles of Shoals aboard the Victorian Steamship.
