WOONSOCKET — Janice (Gobeille) Cote, 72, of Woonsocket, died Aug. 3, 2017, in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Cote, whom she married July 16, 1966. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mildred (Parkin) Gobeille.

Janice was a graduate of Woonsocket High School. She was an insurance agent for over 15 years at AAA. She was a lifelong member of St. James Episcopal Church, where she was a member of its Altar Guild, volunteere­d at its food pantry, and taught at its Sunday school. Janice was an avid reader. She loved to travel, and took her family on numerous, memorable vacations.

She leaves her children, Lisa Rivard and her husband Joseph of Warwick, Richard Cote of Johnston, and Russell Cote and his wife Melissa of North Smithfield; her brother, Arthur Gobeille and his wife Cinda of Woonsocket; and four grandchild­ren, Kailey, Allison, Morgan and Jacob.

Her funeral will be held Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2017, at 9 a.m. from the Holt Funeral Home, 510 South Main St., with a service at 10 a.m. in St. James Episcopal Church, 24 Hamlet Ave. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, North Smithfield.
