Fagnant fires back at his political foes
In a front-page article that was more suited on the back page than the front page, that was typical of today’s false journalism by the media and dated Aug. 11, 2017, The Call’s reporter Russ Olivo falsely accuses me of using vulgar language and threatening the Zoning Board Chairman Alan Leclaire, who by the way in my opinion is one of the worst Zoning Board Chairmen in the history of the City of Woonsocket Zoning Board of Review.
Why is that my opinion? For starters, the chairman swears people in to testify, and according to the last city solicitor you must be a Notary Public to accomplish this very important law driven fact. My concern was that anyone that came before the Zoning Board could use that loophole and bring suit and win. This fact by the city solicitor over a year ago was unheeded by the chairman, and as of last year, 2016, I’m not aware of his getting this important document, which if not, continues to put the city at risk.
These false and fabricated accusations come from one of my detractors and established loyal follower of the administration of Lisa Baldelli-Hunt and her organized crew, headed by her campaign manager and former council president, whom by the way is best friends and fellow retired policeman with the Zoning Chairman Leclaire. These usual suspects frequent a local pizza restaurant owned by an insider of the administration often and, in my opinion, to conduct their political back room deals to safeguard their power and stranglehold they have gained on this city in the past five years and have taken that power away from the real stewards, the citizens. This determined plan by some (detractors) is nothing more than a premediated and dispensed cowardly act to continue to eliminate me and my fact-based comments that I openly talk about at the weekly city council meetings as the voice of the voiceless, which was my battle cry while campaigning for a people’s seat on the council. The zoning chairman by the way, has made it his mission per running orders of certain politicians that are only motivated by what’s in it for themselves, but say that they are in office for the people they serve which in my opinion is quite entertaining to say the least, and sounds like minutia to me.
Since 2011, when I was first appointed to the Woonsocket Zoning Board of Review by Mayor Leo Fontaine, Zoning Board Chairman Alan M. Leclaire has tried to achieve and execute one thing, to keep me stifled. In-regards to the mouth piece for NeighborWorks, Margaux Morisseau, everyone is aware of my established and critical comments and votes taken against the food trucks as of late, which makes this mouthpiece for NeighborWorks and chairman Leclaire and her credibility as useless as horns on a cow.
