UXBRIDGE – Police here are searching for the person or persons responsible for tying up six puppies in a bag and dumping them in the Blackstone River.
The puppies were discovered by a kayaker Sunday afternoon at around 1 p.m. Police responding to the scene found the puppies tied up together in a grain bag and apparently left for dead after being dumped in the river off River road. The puppies, all of them only days old, included three males and three females.
The puppies are believed to be a labrador mix.

The puppies are currently being kept together, and are being cared for by a professional until they are able to be adopted.
The Police Department posted a heart-wrenching picture of the puppies on Facebook Sunday. Calling it a “heinous” act, police say
they’re looking for the “low life” responsible.
