Autumnfest 2017 Schedule

WOONSOCKET — The city’s 39th edition of Autumnfest kicks off Friday at World War II Veterans Memorial Park off Social Street

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7

Sunday will also feature “MEGA War” — New England’s Largest Tug O’ War Competitio­n. The Woonsocket Rotary Club has challenged the Autumnfest Steering Committee to an exhibition Tug O’War. The pull will take place at 2:30 p.m. during the Autumnfest Tug O’ War Competitio­n near the basketball courts. Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt will officiate.

Sporting Events Coordinato­r Cheryl Savaria is looking for five more Adult Tug O’War Teams. The High School Division is full, and therefore closed to additional registrati­ons. There are cash awards of $1,000, $500 and $250, plus championsh­ip t-shirts. Teams must pre-register by downloadin­g the registrati­on forms from the autumnfest.org
