St. Agatha Senior Citizens meeting Sept. 27

WOONSOCKET— President Annette Beaulieu opened the meeting with a prayer for Omer Legare.

Celebrating birthdays were Monique Noel, Constance Bonin, Marguerite Coulombe, George Racine and Violet Brunetti. Claire Theroux was welcomed as a new member. Sunshine Lady Constance Bonin sent ‘get-well’ cards to Marcel Cote and Herve Petrin. A ‘thank-you’ card was received from the family of Gianna Hill.

The nominating committee announced that this is the last week to nominate someone for any office. The election will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18. Door ptize winners were Aline Durand, George Gautreau, Normand Piette and Muriel Bouthillette. Winners of the raffle were Frances Fernell, Claire Theroux, Yashi Loya and Constance Bonin.

Doris Pariseau is now collecting for the Michael Buble show on Tuesday, Dec. 5 at the Danverport Yacht Club. Tuesday, Oct. 31 is the deadline. Anyone interested should call her at 401-597-0502. Need not be a member of the club to attend.

This week is the last week to buy tickets for the Wednesday, Oct. 11 Ham Dinner.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Jeanne Theroux, Estelle Legare, Marguerite Coulombe, Roger Petit and Frances Roy. Pitch winners were Roger Roy, Bernard Dubois, George Racine and Claudette Desaulniers. Gerard and Leo Robidoux, Jeanne Theroux and Marguerite Deragon served coffee and pastries.
