1952Thoroughly satisfied with the Redjackets’ 13-7 triumph over East Providence last week, Pawtucket East coach Gig Pariseau is sending his forces against favored Mt. Pleasant with a great deal of confidence. The Jackets’ backfield has Spike Levesque at QB, speedy Billy Addison, who scored both touchdowns versus the Townies, and Ronnie Thibodeau at the halves and little Chippy Dubois at fullback. The offensive line has Ray Mailhot and Bobby Booth at the ends, Fred Tetreault and Gerry Kerr at the tackles, Klenn Kay and Ed Akucewich at the guards and Don Cook at center.

1962The Central Falls Boys’Club Townies racked up their third straight victory by whitewashing the Cranston Bulldogs 14-0 in R. I. Pre-Teen Football League action. Mike Scully’s 20-yard jaunt and a 45-yard pass play from Stan Koza to Ken Moore accounted for the two touchdowns. In other league play, Gerry Fontes ripped off scoring runs of 25 and 35 yards in pacing the Fairlawn Cardinals to a 14-0 blanking over the Attleboro Jewelery City Juniors.

1972Coach Neil Shackett’s Pawtucket West eleven snapped its 12-game winless string with a 27-0 blanking of Johnston rewarding Shackett with his first victory ever as a varsity coach. Halfback Rick Blanco scored on a five-yard run and a 25-yard aerial from halfback Ron Notardonato, Notardonato notched an eight-yard burst and QB Marc Flamer had a one-yard sneak for the Rangers’ touchdowns. Linemen Marc Shaffer and Dan Ferraresi, who converted three PAT boots, and cornerback Paul Almeida led the defensive unit that limited the Panthers to 57 total yards.
