Burrillville (9-2 Northern Division) finished in a threeway tie for second place behind undefeated Ponaganset with Smithfield and Cumberland.

“The boys have just been phenomenal this year and they work really hard,” Burrillville coach Sam Stanton said. “They want to be successful and they’re a great group of kids to coach.”

Just as he did in Maine over the weekend, McClure was the top Bronco, as he broke the tape in 15 minutes, 37 seconds. Teammates Cam Charron (16:46) and Thomas Ames (16:49) claimed the next two spots. Lincoln, which defeated Mount St. Charles by 25 points, received a fourthplace finish from Nick Gaitanis. Evan Thompson was sixth and Kiran Thukar was seventh. The Mounties were led by freshman CeeJay Laquerre, who was ninth.

In the girls race, Mount St. Charles finished its dual meet campaign with three victories thanks to a balanced performance. While Burrillville’s Sabrina Charron took home individual honors in 20:41, the Mounties had four runners in the top 10 to earn a four-point win over the Broncos and an eight-point win over the Lions.

Stella Noecker finished second in 21:06, while Julia DiSpirito was sixth in 22:56, Frankie Arnold eighth in 23:41 and Talia Williams ninth in 24:10.

Lincoln secured a one-point victory over the Broncos, as Abbey O’Hern finished third and Julia Heroux finished fifth.
