McCourt hosts Fall Harvest and Pumpkin Illumination event
CUMBERLAND — McCourt Middle School is hosting its third annual Fall Harvest and Pumpkin Illumination event on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 4 to 8 p.m.
This is a community-wide event and all are welcome. While this event does hope to raise funds to support school initiatives, it is also about community partnerships and helping one another for the betterment of all.
Festivities this year include inflatable obstacles and games, face-painting, amazing raffle items, concessions, food trucks, music with D.J. Frank Jacinto and the Pumpkin Illumination Trail along the McCourt trails with a pumpkin-carving contest that is available to anyone in the community. There are expanded our offerings this year, with a full vendor fair featuring some of local businesses – Franklin Farms 4-H will be set up in the courtyard where families can meet the animals and find out more about this new program in town and a fall painting activity in the school art studio with an art exhibit at the end of the night. Prizes will be awarded for the pumpkin contest and art competition. For more about the event, volunteer registration, sponsor and vendor list, information on carving night at the school the Friday before the event, visit mccourtms.wixsite.com/fallharvest.
