St. Agatha Senior meeting, Nov. 29

WOONSOCKET— First VP Martha Cote opened the meeting with a prayer for Annette Beaulieu, Roland Durand and the late Roger Petit. AThanksgiving card was received from Theresa Kizack. Celebrating birthdays were Marguerite Deragon, Jeanne Sutherland and Priscilla Paulhus.

Welcomed as guests were Marguerite Deragon’s three daughters and grandson from California, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island, all who came to celebrate their mother's 90th birthday. They are Jeannine Sounders, from Rhode Island; Claire Boyes, of Pennsylvania; and Elaine Iron and her son Tim, who made the trip from California.

Door prize winners were Normand Piette, Robert Laprade, Jeannine Sounders, Gerard Robidoux and Aline Durand. Winners of the raffle were Jeannine Sounders, Yashi Loya and Martha Cote.

This week is the last week to purchase a ticket for the Christmas Dinner to be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13.

There will be no meetings on Wednesdays Dec. 20 or 27. The next meeting scheduled meeting is for Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. A special election will be held then for a new treasurer. Frances Roy will be in charge of the trips to Mohegan Sun, provided everyone agrees to go on Fridays instead of Tuesdays.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Muriel Turcotte, Jeanne Wall and Lucille Galipeau. Pitch winners were Martha Cote, Robert Laprade, Dave Lavallee, Marcel Cote, Roger Roy and Claudette Desaulniers.
