Stephen J. Moussas
WOONSOCKET —Stephen J. Moussas, DBA, born and raised in Woonsocket, passed away at home on Dec. 7, 2017. He was 89 years old.
Ason of the late Apostle and Annette (Lambert) Moussas, he is survived by his wife Lucienne (Noclain) of 52 years. He was also the brother of the late Harry Moussas and has four nieces, a nephew, and three grand- nephews.
Stephen was a professor and chairman of the business department from 1977 to 1997 at Becker College in Worcester, until his retirement.
He received a bachelor of science degree in engineering from Roger Williams University; a master of science in business administration from Bryant College and a doctorate of business administration from Nova University. He was also an adjunct instructor at Johnson & Wales University. He served in the military during the Korean Conflict.
Stephen accumulated over 20 years of industrial experience with ITT Grinnell, was vice president of the Central MAChapter of the Association for Systems Management; and, a member of the Academy of Management, American Entrepreneurs Association, American Management Association, Museum of Yachting and the Worcester Area Model Yachting Club.
He enjoyed his family, sailing to Block Island with his wife, writing, reading, traveling, photography, music, doing research and working on the computer.
