ST. JOSEPH SENIORS EVENTS

Vice President Fran Roy opened the meeting with a prayer for the sick Marie Desilets and for the deceased Denise Jop and Ronald Cournoyer.

We had eight extra door prizes because of Valentine’s day which were chocolates. Door prize winners were Blanche Roy, Roger Harnois, Claire Brodeur, Connie Roy, Connie Gentile, Normand Piette, Monique Noel, Priscilla Salley, Denise Dufault, Denise Raiche, Yvette Piette, Doris Denomme and Andy Phaneuf.

Raffle ticket winners were Evelyn Martin, Connie Lafontaine, Yoshi Loya, Michelle McDonald and Claire Phaneuf.

Dollar a month winners for January were Bob Laplante, Thea Barabe, Pauline Harris, Jackie Auclair, Andy Baillargeon and Rita Boisvert.

Dollar a month winners for February were Raymond Lavoie, Adrienne Bibeault, Claire Brodeur, Carol Cournoyer, Richard Lemay and Rita Boisvert.

February birthdays were Anna May Aubin, Betty Legare, Claire Marquis, Jeannette Petrin, Nancy Bouchard, Viola Sztabor and Pat Palardy.

Our Sunshine Lady sent get well cards to Bob Desjardins, Fran Roy and Marie Desilets and sympathy cards to Pauline Bourdon and Jackie Auclair.

Trips scheduled for Foxwoods Casino are Friday, February 23 and Friday, March 30. Trips to Mohegan Sun leaving from St Agatha’s Church are scheduled for Friday, March 9 and Friday, May 11. For reservations or more information on the casino trips call Fran Roy 401-3561493.

A corned beef & cabbage dinner will be held on Tues- day, March 27 at noon in the Good Shepherd School Auditorium, 1200 Mendon Rd. Tickets are $10 per person.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, February 27. Any senior who wishes to join the club is welcome.
