St. Agatha Seniors meeting – Feb. 28

President Gerard Robidoux opened the meeting with a prayer for Lucille Galipeau and Kevin Lavallee.

Celebrating birthdays were Frances Furnell and Patricia Palardy. Bernard and Marguerite Dubois are celebrating their 61st wedding anniversary.

Sunshine Lady Constance Bonin sent a get well card to Leo Robidoux and Steve Chamberlin. A thank you card was received from Leo Robidoux.

Claire Brodeur was introduced as a new member. Door prize winners were Claire Brodeur, Jocelyn Joyal, Donat Godin and Marguerite Dubois. Winners of the rafle were Marcel Cote, Marguerite Deragon, Bernard Dubois and Constance Bonin.

There are still a few seats available for the trip to Mohegan Sun on March 9, and reservations are now being taken for the March 30 trip to Foxwoods. Any one interested should call Fran Roy at 401-356-1493 as soon as possible.

Doris Pariseau is conducting trips to Lake Pearl on April 12 featuring the Nashville Country Legends, also The Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel on May 24 at Lantana in Randolph, Mass. Reservations will close on March 20 for the Nashville show. Call Pariseau at 401-517-0502. Need not be a member of the club to attend all these trips.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Gloria Belknap, Simone Remillard and Roland Roy. Jeannette Cousineau was the caller. Pitch winners were Doris Souza, Roger Roy, Gino Orazi, Claudette Desaulniers, George Racine, Janet Lamarsh and Bernard Dubois. Coffee and donuts were served by Marguerite Deragon, Jeanne Theroux, Jocelyn Joyal and Leo Robidoux.

There will be no meeting on March 28 because of the parish’s annual seder supper.
