WOONSOCKET – Gabrielle A. Chartier, 81, of Woonsocket, died Wed n esday, April 25, 2018, at Woonsocket Health Center. She was the loving wife of the late Eudor St. Pierre and the late Leo A. Chartier.

Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Aurore (Cardinal) Maclure. She was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mrs. Chartier was employed at Tupperware, American Tourister and Rosecraft Inc. before retiring.

Gabrielle was an avid bingo player. Among her other pastimes were shopping, playing cards, and doing arts and crafts. She also took several memorable trips, including a few to Europe.

Gabrielle was a devoted mother and cherished all of her family.

She is survived by a son, Michael J. St. Pierre of Cumberland, and her stepdaught­er, Jeanne Benoche of Connecticu­t. She was the mother of the late Marc Chartier and Laurie Ann Brunette. She was the sister of Henriette Patrie and Constance Goulet and the late Gerald and Bertrand Maclure, Muriel Roy, Theresa Artruc, Joulbert Allard and Yoland Kirkorian. She is also survived by her grandchild­ren Gregory, Christophe­r, Marc, Kyle, Matthew and Wayne, a great-granddaugh­ter, and many nieces and nephews and their families.

Her funeral will be Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 127 Carrington Ave., Woonsocket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Avenue, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl.
