BCBSRI, Chamber present Worksite Health Awards June 20

WARWICK – In partnership with the Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island (BCBSRI) will host the 24th annual Worksite Health Awards, honoring Rhode Island companies with successful workplace wellness programs, on Wednesday, June 20, from 7:45 to 9:30 a.m. at the Crown Plaza Hotel Grand Ballroom, 801 Greenwich Ave.

The awards honor Rhode Island companies that are improving the quality of life for their employees with a demonstrated commitment to healthy workplaces through policy, workplace culture and educational opportunities.

The event will feature keynote speaker Laura Putnam, author of “Workplace Wellness That Works,” ranked a #1 Amazon Hot New Release in HR & Personnel Management. With a mission to get people “in motion,” she guides team members, managers and leaders in discovering how to get big results with simple steps. As CEO of Motion Infusion, a well-being training and consulting firm, Laura works with a range of organizations from Fortune 500s to nonprofits to academic institutions, helping each to build a culture of well-being.

In 2017, nearly 80 local employers received Worksite Health Awards. More than 400 business leaders from around the state attended last year’s ceremony to celebrate the honorees’ efforts, which benefit thousands of Rhode Island employees.
