Vangie believed family was the most important thing in life, and she enjoyed hosting her family at “The Camp,” where the family shared meals together and swam and boated on the lake. She also enjoyed helping her community, spending countless hours preparing for and volunteering at Our Lady of Good Help’s Christmas bazaars, and arranging flowers on the alter. She also enjoyed camping and setting up at the flea market on Route 6 with her grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at her visitation on Tuesday, May 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, May 23, at 9 a.m. at the Boucher Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Help Church, 1063 Victory Highway, Mapleville. Burial will follow at the Acotes Hill Cemetery, Chepachet.
Vangie enjoyed gardening and spent many hours cultivating her beautiful yard. In lieu of cut flowers, her family is asking for potted perennials so that they may create a memorial garden. www.boucherfh.com
