Performance Physical Therapy celebrates upgrades at Woonsocket clinic
WOONSOCKET –– On Thursday, May 24, Performance Physical Therapy’s Woonsocket clinic invited its partners, patients, local businesses and residents to come together for an open house “Happy Hour” to officially unveil changes at the clinic.
Over the last two months, Woonsocket has undergone a facelift, and now boasts new flooring, repainted walls, and updated equipment. The changes at the clinic, which has been open for almost four years now, were welcomed by staff and patients, said clinic director and physical therapist Dr. Jessica Roy. “We had an old patient who came in the other day who looked around and just said, ‘Wow, this looks way better than it used to,’” she shared with the crowd of residents, patients and community partners Thursday night, highlighting the new athletic floor, which replaced an old carpet, as one of her favorite parts of the upgrade.
Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt dropped by during the evening to take a look at the clinic, and brought along with her a citation recognizing Performance for the great services and programs it provides to its clients. “The renovations to the facility are very inviting and refreshing. Small businesses are the economic drivers in communities and the residents of the City of Woonsocket are fortunate to have Performance PT in our portfolio of businesses,” she said, noting that the revitalization of the Woonsocket clinic might soon be mirrored by a revitalization of Woonsocket’s main street.
The clinic’s regional director and Performance Physical Therapy’s chief clinical officer Dr. Dave Pavao said that Performance Physical Therapy’s success in Woonsocket was due in large part to its patients, the city’s support and the community partners it has, many of whom were in attendance, including No Risk Crossfit & Twisted Triangle Yoga, New England Distance and Greenville Primary Care.
“This open house event is our chance to show the community what we have to offer and the changes we’ve made,” said Dr. Pavao, “but it’s also a chance to sincerely thank the people of Woonsocket for their support in our success.”
