Henry D. Harpin

OSTERVILLE, Mass. – Henry D. Harpin, 78, of Osterville, passed away on June 22, 2018, at the Mayflower Place Nursing & Rehabilita­tion Center in West Yarmouth, MA.

He was the loving husband of 58 years to Edna (Savage) Harpin. He was born in Woonsocket, son of the late Henry & Lydia (Valati) Harpin.

Henry worked for the Carlin Machine Co. in Southboro, MA, for 36 years and also worked for R&R Machine in North Smithfield for five years before retiring. He lived in Osterville for the last 13 years, previously living in Blackstone for most of his life. He was a member of the Blackstone Rod & Gun Club and the Striper Fishing Club.

Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter, Elaine Cotnoir and her husband Philip of Blackstone; grandchild­ren, Sarah Schultz and her husband Alan, Tanya Brouillard and her husband Tom, Brian Cotnoir and Thomas and Kenneth Harpin; and a great-granddaugh­ter, Abbey Brouillard.

He was preceded in death by his son, Henry Harpin.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Theresa’s Church, Rathbun St., Blackstone, MA. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
