NORTH SMITHFIELD – Theodore A. Saillant III, 59, of Halliwell Drive, passed away suddenly on Monday June 18. Ted leaves behind his wife Sandra Saillant.

Ted and Sandra spent the vast majority of their lives together. They began dating when Ted was 16 years old and were married for 38 years. Their love for each other was indestruct­ible.

Ted was born in Woonsocket, a son of Theodore A. Saillant Jr. of Worcester and Georgette (Trudeau) Saillant of Woonsocket. Ted graduated from Woonsocket High School and lived most of his life in Woonsocket until relocating to North Smithfield. He worked as director of sales for Bruin Plastics for many years, retiring in 2012. Ted enjoyed playing golf, cooking, and spending time with family. Ted was always willing to help a friend in need. Further, he had a gift for gab utilizing it often throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son Jason Saillant and his wife Noelle of Boston; his grandson Declan Saillant, a brother, Christophe­r Saillant and his wife Susan of North Carolina; two sisters, Mary Anne Theroux and her husband Jon of Blackstone, and Laurie Hebert and her husband Gary of West Brookfield, Mass., and his beloved dog “Lucky Sluggo.”

His funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Road, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. The family will receive guests in the entrance of the church at 9:30 a.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: American Breast Cancer Foundation, 10400 Little Pawtuxent Parkway, Suite 480, Columbia, MD 21044.
