Stadium Theatre to host Ice Cream Social for volunteers on Aug. 9

WOONSOCKET — The Stadium Theatre is accepting applications for its volunteer program. They are seeking applicants who are 16 and older, friendly, dependable and good with people.

Anyone interested in volunteering at the Stadium Theatre is invited to an Ice Cream Social on Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Marquee Room at the theatre. Stadium Theatre Volunteer Coordinator, Jennifer Medeiros will be discussing the exciting new season, volunteer opportunities, and the future of the expanding Stadium Theatre.

Those that apply to join the Stadium volunteer family will be placed based on interest and abilities. Schedules and times will vary depending on position. Training will be provided. All volunteers will be subject to a BCI check.

There are positions in the following areas: ushers, greeters, door person, will-call, box office, house manager, concessions, tech crew, office staff and fundraising.

If you are 21 or older there are openings in the pub as a bartender. Training and certification are also provided.

There are also opportunities within the Stadium’s theatrical department for costuming, choreography, set construction, set design, set painting, hair and makeup design, musical directing, directing, and producing.
