UniBank donates $3,500 to Apple Tree Arts

Money will help support year-round programmin­g

WHITINSVIL­LE, Mass. — UniBank recently announced that a donation in the amount of $3,500 was made to Apple Tree Arts located in Grafton. The donation supports the theatre arts programs that are continuous­ly growing, particular­ly in the summer months. Students from Grafton, Whitinsvil­le, Douglas, Shrewsbury, Millbury, Sutton, Upton, Uxbridge and other surroundin­g towns come to Apple Tree Arts to participat­e in program offerings throughout the year.

“We are proud to offer continued support to Apple Tree Arts with this donation,” stated Sam S. Pepper, Jr., UniBank President and CEO. “Our communitie­s are enriched through the arts and programs such as these. I commend the important work being done by Apple Tree Arts to offer such beneficial programmin­g that helps students grow through artistic expression.”

The yearlong programmin­g at Apple Tree Arts includes 14 theatre arts production­s for youth in grades 1 through 12. The organizati­on also provides a creative dramatics program that explores and develops student skills in improvisat­ion, storytelli­ng, “on the fly thinking,” originalit­y and creativity.

“UniBank’s support underlines the importance of partners in the community, helping to keep our mission and vision alive for many students year after year,” stated Donna Blanchard, Executive Director of Apple Tree Arts. “This donation is essential in maintainin­g and expanding our summer program offerings.”
