St. Joseph Senior meeting of Aug. 14

President Suzanne Grenier opened the meeting with a prayer for the sick Jeanne Barry, Leo Grenier, Ray Aubin, Jeanne LeBlanc and for the deceased members. Door prize winners were Jeannette Lemire, Bob Desjardins, Noella Theroux, Leo Robidoux and Lorie Dutremble. Dollar-a-month winners were Mary Mianchino, Jeannette Lemire, Jeanne Barry, Ed Aubin, Ray Beaudette and Barbara Carpentier. Raffle ticket winners were Jeannette Lemire, Nancy Henault, Dick Guillet, Celia Gregoire and Irene Frigon. Celebrating birthdays this month – Connie Roy, Doris Denomme, Bernie Gamache, Jackie J. Harpin, Shirley Levitre, Marjorie Mineau, Claire Phaneuf and Jeanne Queen. Members welcomed Connie Boisvert, Charles Boisvert, and Lucille Long to our group. The group will hold an American chop suey dinner Aug. 28 at noon in the Good Shepherd School Auditorium, 1200 Mendon Rd. Tickets are $10 person. Trips to Foxwood Casino are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 31 and Sept. 25. Trips to Mohegan Sun Casino leaving from St Agatha’s Church are scheduled for Friday, Sept. 14 and Nov. 9. There is also a trip to Wildwood, N.J. scheduled for Sept. 16 through 20 and also a trip to Turning Stone Resort Casino and Bingo Hall in Verona, N.Y. Nov. 5 through 7.
