St. Agatha Seniors, meeting of Aug. 15

After two weeks vacation St. Agatha seniors met for a clam chowder and clam cake dinner. A total of 50 members attended. President Gerard Robidoux opened the business meeting with a prayer for Martha Cote. Celebrating Birthdays from Aug. 15 until Sept. 12 are Herve Petrin, Roger Levesque, Gino Orazi, Connstance Seider, Constance Roy, David Lavallee, Lorraine Theroux, Lorraine Lemoine and Aline Durand. Roland and Constance Roy will be celebrating their 63rd wedding anniversary; Rene and Jocelyn Joyal their 58th and Gene and Carol Jalbert their 52nd. The monthly raffle winners were Claudette Desaulniers, Aline Durand, Donna Bourgeois and Constance Bonin. Door prize winners were Leo Robidoux, Priscille Paulhus Constance Seider and Jocelyn Joyal. Winners of the raffle were Viollette Roy, Marcel Hebert, Frances Furnell and Donna Bourgeois. Sunshine Lady Constance Bonin sent get-well cards to Vera Forcier, Martha Cote and Claire Biron. There will be no meeting for the next three weeks (Aug. 22, 29 or Sept. 5) due to the Parish’s annual Flea Market. The next scheduled meeting will be on Aug. 12, where tickets will be on sale for the Sept. 19 meatloaf dinner. Fran Roy is now collecting for the Sept. 14 trip to Mohegan Sun and taking reservations for the Sept. 28 trip to Foxwoods. She is also taking reservations for the LEGENDS IN CONCERT HOLIDAY SHOW scheduled for Dec. 4 at Foxwoods. Anyone interested should call her at 401-356-1493.
