The home run by Ockimey, part of a four-run inning, gave the Red Sox a 5-4 lead before Dan Butler hit a tworun double later in the inning.

The Red Sox tacked on another run in the ninth when Aneury Tavarez hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Michael Chavis.

Starter Justin Haley (6-8) got the win while Luis Santos (2-3) took the loss in relief in the International League game. Bobby Poyner pitched two scoreless innings for his sixth save of the season.

For the Bisons, Darnell Sweeney tripled and singled. Jonathan Davis homered and singled, scoring two runs.

Toronto super prospect Vladimir Guerrero Jr. helped Buffalo grab a two-run lead in the first inning when he doubled and scored on a single by Richard Urena.

Pawtucket answered with a pair of runs in the third inning. Chavis, who was called up from Double-A Portland earlier in the week, hit his second home run in a PawSox uniform to tie the game. Sam Travis walked to start the inning.

Buffalo scored once in the second and once in the fourth before Pawtucket scored five runs to make a win of Haley.

After cutting its deficit in half in the fifth inning, the PawSox scored four runs in the sixth inning.
