Daniels Farmstead September events
BLACKSTONE — Daniels Farmstead, located at 286 Mendon St., offers a weekly Farmer’s Market every Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., through Oct. 7, as well as a variety of special events. The farmstead’s September events are as follows:
TODAY: In addition to the weekly Farmer’s Market, musician Vito Caccavelli will entertain from noon until 2 p.m.
Sept. 9: Claflin Hill Concert at 3 p.m. An annual favorite, the Claflin Hill Symphony is conducted by Paul Surapine. Guests are welcome to bring blankets, chairs and snacks while they enjoy the performance. The grill will also be open until 4:30 p.m. for burgers, hotdogs and sausage with pepper and onions.
Sept. 16: Antique Tractor and Truck show. This has been one of Daniels Farmsteads popular events for eight years. If interested in participating, call Gary Smith (774-573-0418).
Sept. 23: The Grey Whisker Pickers, a bluegrass/folk band, will perform for farmers market guests from noon until 2 p.m. Sept. 30th: Singer/songwriter Rose Kerr will perform from noon until 2 p.m.
In addition to many vendors, Daniels Farmstead also offers historic tours. Guests can enjoy great stories from three centuries and 10 generations of one family occupying this property.
