St. Joseph Senior meeting Aug. 28

Before the meeting everyone enjoyed their American Chop Suey dinner.

President Suzanne Grenier opened the meeting with a prayer for the sick, Gert Courtemache and for the deceased members.

Door prize winners were Ray Beaudette, Gerry Robidoux, Jean Roy, Lucille Laferriere and Dick Guillet.

Raffle ticket winners were Blanche Roy, Dick Guillet, Connie Gentile, Doris Denomme and Barbara Carpentier.

Rose Trudeau and Henry Trudeau were welcomed to our group.

Anniversary celebrated this month: Mr. & Mrs. Jean Dutremble, Jr.

The group will hold a pot roast dinner on September 25 at Noon in the Good Shepherd school auditorium, 1200 Mendon Rd. Tickets are $10. 00 per person.

Trips to Foxwood Casino are scheduled for September 28 and October 26.

There will be a day trip to Vine and Wine Delight with a luncheon and Vermont wine tasting on October 11. There is also a trip to Wildwood, NJ scheduled for Sept. 16-20 and also a trip to Turning Stone Resort Casino and Bingo Hall in Verona, NY, November 5-7.

Mention was made of a 10/10 Club to benefit Senior Services, Inc. You can pay $10 a month for 10 months or one lump sum of $100. Each month $100 will be drawn, at the end of the 10 months a dinner will be served when grand prizes ranging from $50 to $1000 will be drawn.
