St. Joseph Senior meeting, Sept. 25

President Suzanne Grenier opened the meeting with a prayer for the sick, Bernie Gamache, and for the deceased, Irene Cournoyer.

Door prize winners were Yvette Benetti, Pauline Harris, Gert Courtemache, Fran Furnelle and Lorie Dutremble.

Raffle ticket winners were Claire Phaneuf, Connie Gentile, Gloria Descoteaux, Pauline Harris and Gloria Belknap.

Trips to Foxwoods Resort Casino are planned for Friday, Oct. 26, and Friday, Nov. 30. Trips to Mohegan Sun casino, leaving from St. Agatha’s Church, are scheduled for Friday Nov. 9. There is also a Foxwoods trip leaving from St. Agatha’s Church on Dec. 4, which includes a Legends In Concert Holiday Show. On Dec. 6, there is a day trip to a Salem Cross Christmas with a four-course luncheon, bright nights at Forest Park, a visit to the Yankee Candle Shop and so much more. For more information call Sue Grenier (401-766-4647) or Vicky Cadeiux (401-767-3337).

The group will hold a turkey dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at noon in the Good Shepard School auditorium 1200 Mendon Road. Tickets are $10 per person

The group’s next meeting is Tuesday, Oct. 9. Any senior can join our group.

A nominating committee was selected and they are Fran Furnell and Barbara DeChristoforo.
