St. Agatha’s Seniors, Oct. 10

A total of 62 members celebrated the club’s 44th anniversary with a pot-roast dinner with all the trimmings ending with a 44th anniversary cake.

A special raffle was held for the occasion consisting of large chrysanthemum plants, wine and money. The winners were:

Claudette Desaulniers, Monique Noeil, Robert Laplante, George Racine, Olive Nichols, Cecile Belleville, Frances Furnell, Yoshi Loya and Donat Godin.

George Racine won the $25 dollar floral centerpiece. Rita Keegan celebrated a birthday.

President Gerard Robidoux opened the business meeting with a prayer for Denise Chamberlin.

A thank-you card was received from Rene and Jocelyn Joyal.

A nominating committee was formed by Estelle Legare and Jocelyn Joyal. The election will be held on Nov. 7.

Door prize winners were Leo Robidoux, Marie Gomes, Donat Godin and Michelle McDonald. Winners of the Monthly raffle were Jacqueline Guevremont, Charles Desaulniers, Claire Biron and Yvette Benetti.

Tickets will be on sale this week for the Nov. 14 Turkey Dinner.

Winners of the special BINGO games were Claire Biron, Pauline Belisle and Yoshi Loya. Constance Seider was the caller.

Pitch winners were Marcel Cote, George Gautreau, Bernard Dubois, Lucille Lajoie, Janet Lamarsh, Robert Laplante and Normand Piette.

The trip to the ‘Legends’ show has to be paid by Oct. 24. Seats are available to Foxwoods on Oct. 26, and to Mohegan Sun on Nov. 9. Call Fran Roy @401-356-1493 for reservations and more information.

There will be no meeting on Oct. 31 because of the Parish Annual Chistmas Bazaar.
